Islamic Religion Challenges Muslim Valentines
Hand over all your RED! That's an order!
We don't want your blue. You keep. Just give us all your red and no one will get hurt.
Can you imgaine being at the mall, browsing in the Hallmark store, and hearing those words come from a uniformed police officer? Neither can I.
But, according to press reports, that exact thing occurs every February in Saudi Arabia. Islamic religious police go store to store and confiscate any and everything red in the weeks before Valentine's Day.
No pagan Christian traditions for you!
Islamic couples, married and unmarried, have adopted a secularized version of the ancient Christian feast of Valentine in such large numbers that Islam is seemingly threatened in the great kingdom. Never mind crosses and anything that Westerners traditionally identify with Christianity, red hearts are out too, at least in February.
Forget the January white sale, better stock up on red as there's a shortage coming. That's exactly what Islamic couples do. They purchase their gifts in late January and early February in hopes of being temporally ahead of the religious police. No one lnows when the fatwa will appear and the crackdown commence, but occur they will.

- A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
