Christian Apologetics Radio
Browsing through the CAS analytics, we noted a search for "Christian Apologetics Radio". The individual "bounced", meaning that they landed on a page and then left after a few seconds. That caused us to consider the topic of Christain apologetics radio further as we listen to several hours of apologetics radio via podcast every day. We have three favorites:
Catholic Answers LIVE - This Christian apologetics ministry airs two hours of apologetics radio every weekday. Topics range from contemporary issues of stem cells and same sex marriage to church history. Callers include atheists, agnostics, muslims, and Christians of all denominations. Once a month that have a special call in day for non-Catholics only and any sincere question may be asked. There's also "Who Wants to be an Apologist?" with some very difficult questions drawn from the "hat of difficulty". The broadcasts are available as podcasts withing 24 hours.
The Journey Home - This show is actually a television show that we listen to as a podcast on Wednesdays. While not intended as an apologetic program, the inspiring testimonies of individuals who have often lost their faith and found their way back to Christ is insightful. Hearing what truths and events motivate people towards Christianity is invaluable to apologists. This weeks show featured a discussion on Lutheranism.
Internet Monk Radio - Again, not a deliberate apologetics program, but the iMonk's pursuit of a "Jesus shaped Christianity" is apologetic by nature. A devout Baptist with a campus ministry in the hills of Kentucky, Internet Monk Radio will have you shaking your head in one direction or another and likely talking back to your favorite Internet appliance. The sample episode below features an apology on "know-it-all preachers" contradicting knowledge using out-of-context scripture.
By the way, we are fond of the open source Juice cross-platform podcast receiver.. Its runs in the background and we schedule Juice to download new podcasts late before o'dark-thirty to avoid internet rush hour. We arrive at the office each morning to fresh audio content.
